The changes and challenges have been continuing over the past year.
In September 2023, we welcomed Jenny Chakabva into the fold as our new Office Manager. She is working alongside Ian, bringing in new business and looking after the Engineers. Jenny was closely followed by Adrian Adams, who joined our growing team of Engineers.
The staff enjoyed a Christmas Party in December 2023. This time we visited Denbies Vineyard in Dorking, for a tour and a wine tasting. Followed by a meal and some dancing at Reigate Manor Hotel.
The team are working hard on their Continuous Professional Development, doing a variety of Industry Specific Training Courses, to keep their knowledge up to date.

Are you paying too much?
Are you paying too much for your compressed air because of leaks or pipework problems? Is your pipework sized correctly?
You may need to consider your pipework diameter. Pipes that are too small will cause a high pressure drop. If systems lose pressure, businesses lose money because they need to produce more air to overcome the pressure differential. Sometimes, a large pressure drop in the pipeline is compensated by increasing the working pressure of the compressor, for example, from 7 bar(e) to 8 bar(e).
On a recent site audit, we found that a customer was generating air at 2.5 bar over pressure. From the audit, we calculated that by installing the correctly sized pipework and reducing the pressure, they would save in excess of £35,000 per annum!!!

Air4u Limited can now offer Air Leak Detection.
Leaks in the compressed air supply of your production are responsible for unintentional compressed air loss. This leads to higher energy consumption and thus, increasing energy costs and CO2 emissions.
With the METPOINT CID leak management system, we can find, log and cost air leaks, so you can prioritise remedial work required to reduce your energy costs.
It operates without interrupting plant operation, reached system areas that are hard to access, and locates all air leaks. The leak detector uses ultrasound to find even distant leaks. To do this, you systematically walk along the compressed air lines and use headphones to hear whether you are approaching a leak.
Air4u can arrange for an experienced Engineer to visit your site with our state-of-the-art METPOINT CID leak management system. During the leak survey, there should be no interruption to your production, depending on access to your system. Every leak found is tagged and logged by our Engineer. Afterwards, you will receive an itemised, written report which shows the results in a clearly understood and actionable format.
How do we do it?
Assess your compressed air pipework distribution system.
A simple walk the line so that we can better understand your distribution system and usage. If you have a schematic of your system available, such as a Written Scheme of Examination, it makes our work easier!
Carry out the ultrasonice leak detection test.
With our state-of-the-air tester, which will recognise any the compressed air leaks. It also carries out on-board analysis to pinpoint the exact source of the leak and the exact size of the leak, in litres/minute. We can also take pictures of the leak to pinpoint it for accuracy.
Identify and tag leaks.
Each tag will carry an identifaction number, so that when you get your report, it is easy for you to see the location and severity of the leak.
Report the results.
The report will show, leak location, photographs and tag number, as well as useful information like, severity of a leak and the cost of the leak.
Best practice advice is that the percentage of compressed air lost to leakage should be less than 10% of your total compressed air production. Therefore, we recommend that your system is checked for leaks at least once a year. This proactive approach should enable you to keep a tighter control on the system and potential energy wastage.

Air4u Limited are proud to announce that we are now ISO9001 Accredited.
After an initial visit by our ISO Assessor in October 2023, our team worked on his recommendations to bring our existing Quality Management System Manual up to the required standard. We are pleased to confirm that we passed our ISO9001 Certification Audit on the 21st December 2023. Our Certificate runs with effect from 3rd January 2024.
